
If you want to take your burger game to the next level, look no further. Instead of topping the burger with a couple strips of bacon, use this recipes crispy, super-flavorful bacon patty that delivers bacon in every bite, plus all the fixins!
Directions for: Hodads Double Bacon Cheese Burger
Ingredients
2 in 1/3 lbs ground chuck beef patty
2 tsp seasoning salt, divided in quarters
5 sesame seeded sourdough bun
1 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp yellow mustard
1 yellow onion, sliced into 1/2 thick rings
1 Tbsp ketchup
10 - 12 1/4" krinkle cut dill pickle chips
2 1/2 thick tomato slices
cup lettuce, shredded
4 American cheese slices
2 bacon patties
Directions
1. Season each side of the beef patties with one quarter of the seasoning salt.
2. Preheat flat grill to medium high temp. Sear beef patty on each side until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Melt one slice of cheese on each patty.
3. Toast top and bottom bun until golden brown.
4. On bottom bun, add mayonnaise and mustard.
5. Add onion, flipping the top ring to create a flat surface for the pickles.
6. Top onion with ketchup, and add pickle chips on top of ketchup.
7. Add tomato slices and shredded lettuce.
8. Top each cheesed beef patty with cheesed bacon patties until there are four layers, beef, bacon, beef bacon.
9. Top cheesed beef and bacon patties with toasted top bun and place on bottom bun and toppings.
